What is the Sandbox Contest?

The Sandbox Contest is an annual pitching contest that takes place at the RSA Conference in San Francisco. This conference is a world-leading conference in the field of cybersecurity and annually hosts the biggest and most innovative players in the field. In the past 17 years, the top 10 finalists in the Sandbox Contest have collectively seen more than 69 acquisitions and received $9.8 billion in investments. Even the participants that did not reach the finale got to showcase their product or service to a group of leading experts, including venture capital professionals, CISOs, entrepreneurs, and other outstanding industry experts. In 2022, the top 10 finalist will get to Present and pitch to a panel of expert judges in front of a live audience on Monday, February 7. They will also be featured on the RSAConference.com website and included in additional RSA Conference public relations efforts, providing even more exposure for their company and product.

What do you need to take into consideration before applying?

To be eligible to apply to the Sandbox Contest, your company and product must meet the following criteria:

• Your product was launched between December 1, 2020 and December 1, 2021.
• Your product matches an identified problem in the cybersecurity marketplace
• Your product takes an original and sound approach to solving a problem
• Your product has the potential to make a significant impact on cybersecurity
• Your product is validated through a client's purchase and implementation of product

• Your company has a management team with a successful track record
• Your company can deliver the product to market
• Your company is privately owned with less than $5M in revenue in 2021

About the RSA

The 2022 RSA Conference will take place from the 7th to the 10th of February, 2022. InnovationQuarter and HSD have already started making preparations to once again bring a strong Dutch delegation to the RSA. There are two main options for participation in this delegation. The first is the unique opportunity to exhibit your company and product on the Dutch Pavillion in the heart of the RSA exhibition floor. This also includes having your business mentioned in several RSA promotional materials like floor plans, the mission guide, etc. There is room for a total of 8 companies on the Dutch Pavilion. The Second option is joining the mission as a general participant. This would allow your company to participate in the RSA, join a strong Dutch delegation, and connect with leading companies in the cybersecurity field.
